Sub Groups & Locality Groups

The work of the NACYPC is taken forward by needs-led Sub Groups and Locality Groups. These groups draw membership from the Statutory, Voluntary and Community sectors. Their role is to assess need and plan services.

Sub-Groups

• Children suspended or expelled from school
• Children for whom offending and its consequences are a significant feature of their lives and those at serious risk of offending
• Children with disabilities, long term illness or terminal illness who require services
• Children experiencing severe psychiatric, psychological, emotional or behavioural difficulties
• Children being looked after by a trust and those ceasing to be looked after
• Accommodation and support needs of young people
• Children who find themselves in a caring role
• Children subject to a child protection assessment, including those at risk of family breakdown likely to lead to significant harm
