About the Northern Area Children and Young People's Committee

The Northern Area Children and Young People’s Committee was established in 1998.

Statement from the Chair

"Children's Services Planning is a wonderful opportunity to work together to look at the needs of children and to plan to ensure that appropriate services are available in response to those needs. This web site provides another avenue for children, young people, families, communities and professionals to have their views included in the planning process. The vision of the NACYPC :

Every child and young person has the right to the best possible start in life:

to be brought up in a safe, happy and secure environment;
to be consulted, listened to and heard;
to be supported as they develop into adulthood and maturity and
to be given every opportunity to achieve their full potential.
